DIY Dog Loofah Costume

If you know me well enough you know that DIY is my shit. I kinda live and breath for crafts. So naturally when i realized Halloween was coming up, I just had to whip out the glue gun and make Zola some costumes! Yes.. multiple!

This Loofah costume is the first in our #HalloweenSeries and it was super easy to make with just a few things from the dollar store - and let's be honest its pretty freaking adorable!!! I think the whole thing costed like $8 and only took me two episodes of The Office to get her done.

DIY LOOFAH DOG COSTUME

Total time: 1 hour

Supplies:

Dog T-shirt (or baby onesie like i used)
2 Loofah (may need more depending on dog size)
Mini Rubber Duck
Glue Gun
Scissors

Directions:

1. I started by cutting off the sleeves of the baby onesie so that it would be easier to get Zola in and out of the costume once it was all done. I also chopped some of the torso portion off to make it fit her body better.

2. Cut the string at the center of the loofah to unravel it and keep the hand cord aside for later.

3. Start hot glueing the the loofah fabric to the baby onsie/dog tshirt in bunches until it is completely covered. There isn't a right or wrong way to do this, just experiment as you go along. This is the long part so i suggest putting a show on to keep you entertained. *PRO TIP* put the tshirt on a stuffed animal to make it easier to hot glue the fabric.

4. Try it on your pupperino to make sure everything fits and looks good! Once it's perfect, it's time to add the last touches and to glue down the rubber duck and hand string.

And voila you are finito!

If you guys re-create this loofah costume tag us on IG @oinkpetsupply coz i wanna seeee!
